First Big Presentation

So, the countdown to graduation has begun. I'm in my fourth week of school and after today, I'll have 22 classes left between me and my diploma. Today is my first big presentation for my Radio-Television-Film class called New Media Technologies and Culture. It's an interesting class and has really opened up my mind in terms of the technological changes that are happening within our society at this point in history. I've embedded this youtube video of Peter Hirschberg - who founded Technorati - and his speech about the current relationship between television and the internet. It's really pretty cool to listen to his explanations about the interactions of two competing and yet complimentary technologies. Okay, enough dorky stuff, signing off for now.

Snuggies, and Babies, and Football, Oh My!

Jesse and I spent Sunday afternoon at Dave and Emilia's house for Dave's birthday/the Superbowl. Gift giving followed and Dave found himself with his own brand-new Snuggie to keep him warm on those chilly Texas winter nights. To be honest, I think their daughter Ruby will be the one who gets the most use out of the Snuggie, but maybe Dave will take it the Senator's office and wear it all day long.
Ruby was in good spirits for most of the evening and took the time to pose cutely on 'Uncle Jesse's' lap. Adorable. Now there's photo-evidence that Jesse doesn't repel children and in fact loves them. Everyone make the 'aaah' noise together now.
